Richard Bretschneider

Based close to the centre for media Cologne, germany, Richard Bretschneider creates music and sounddesign for film, TV, commercial, audiobranding and video games. His musical range includes symphonic orchestra, pop and rock.

Richard was born 1983 in Duisburg, Germany. From 2004 to 2010 he studied communication sciences at the University of Aachen in Germany and the University of Cadiz in Spain. He has been working as composer for more than 50 projects in Europe and the USA since 2006.
His movies are shown regularly on international festivals - the latest at the 'Filmfestival Max Ophuels Preis' in Germany, the 'Portobello Filmfestival' in London and the 'FILM FESTIVAL OF TAMIL NADU' in India. His advertisement projects include corporate spots for AXA insurances and the State Ministry for Environment Rheinland-Pfalz.
In 2011 Richard was nominated for the Jerry Goldsmith Award at the International Filmmusic Festival of Ubeda in the categories BEST SONG and BEST SCORE FOR ADVERTISEMENT. He joined master classes and workshops of Marcel Barsotti (Pope Joane) and Christian Halten (co-composer for'The ring II' and 'Cat Woman').
